    Geez,

What a terrible bank. I had 3 accounts with FirstBank because their location in Stater Brothers parking lot is convenient.

CBT acquired FirstBank and now almost every account has significant fees added, seemingly at random. I was able to get our personal checking converted to a senior account that requires a $500 average daily balance to have no fees.

My savings account there was drained to near $0 solely from their fees. We didn’t use it, only set it up for benefits they offered for both savings and checking together.

Closed the savings account. Down to 2 accounts there.

Turns out they intend to start charging me $40/mo plus assorted other fees per transaction/type, starting Feb 1.

I cannot recommend this bank. They’re as bad as Wells Fargo.

I’ll be closing our remaining accounts with them. We do most of our banking with Schwab. Looks like we’ll be doing all our banking there from now on.
